Phyllis Sands is a Berks County native, having grown up in Sinking Spring, and graduating from Wilson High School. She graduated from West Chester University in 1991 with a B.S. in Music Education. Phyllis also has a Master equivalency degree from Philadelphia University of the Arts. Phyllis has been teaching vocal music in the Wilson School District for the past 22 years.
Phyllis began playing piano at the age of 3, and started playing durring church services at age 9. She has served at various Churches in the past, including: Alleghenyville Union Churches, St. John’s U.C.C. – Sinking Spring, St. John’s Lutheran Church – Sinking Spring, Lincoln Park Methodist Church, First Presbyterian, Reading and Allegheny Evangelical Lutheran Church. Phyllis also plays for weddings at Helen and St. Constantine Greek Church in Reading.
Phyllis is blessed with 2 wonderful sons, 2 wonderful daughter-in-laws and 3 grandchildren; Jace, Jared and Keana.
Phyllis came to serve at Peace UCC in 2016.
